“5-Star stay in a private home”

Our family stayed in this wonderful lakeside home for one month in July 2013. We chose Rockaway because of the diversity of activities in the area and the proximity to many attractions on the Northern Oregon Coast. We knew we had made the right decision from the time we drove up to the home. The location of the home right across the street from Lake Lytle was perfect for us. You are close to the town of Rockaway, yet far enough out to have plenty of privacy. We could walk to the beach from the house, which was very convenient. The home is extremely well kept, cozy and livable for any size family. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and the layout provides privacy for everyone. The pool table provided entertainment for the whole family. 

For those not familiar, Rockaway is very close to the port of Garibaldi, home to some of the best fishing on the Oregon Coast. Razor clamming is excellent in the area, as well as crabbing, hiking, and beach-combing. Be sure and visit the world famous Tillamook Creamery for some of their delicious cheese. The Tillamook Smoker (for some pepperoni and jerky) and just a short distance north are the towns of Manzanita and Cannon Beach for you to explore.

The owners were very helpful and enjoyable to work with. They made the whole experience very easy and hassle free!

“Beautiful house, great location, would definitely stay again”

We stayed at this house with 5 couples (total) and few young babies. The house is beautiful, up to date, and very nicely maintained. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were nice and clean. The kitchen was great. We cooked several meals there and the kitchen had all the supplies we needed. The house is on a nice quiet street. We walked to Lytle Lake and then we walked over to Rockaway beach. The house is close to Tillamook and several other great beaches and locations. We would definitely recommend this house to our friends and family and we hope we can stay there again. Thanks!

This is one of the nicest homes that you will ever stay at! Gorgeous, clean, well appointed, but still has the feeling that a family lives here! Not just a cookie cutter place to stay! One of a kind!

“What a wonderful getaway home”

We had a family get together on Christmas Day for 3-4 days and I can't say enough about this state of the art home. It is absolutely wonderful. Has everything one might need, i.e. towels, kitchen utensils, appliances, lots of areas for good ole' card games or making puzzles. Each bathroom is different and unique. And no complaints with the beds as they were very comfy. The view of the lake is inviting, plus the beach is just a short walk away. We well be back; would love to use it in the summertime as there are large front/back decks when the weather is right.

“Guys golfing weekend”

Absolutely awesome house! Every detail is custom and unique, and the house is bigger and more spacious than it seems in the pictures. We loved the front porch, which we spent most of our time at the house on because the weather was beautiful, but would have been just as happy in the house if it hadn't been so nice outside. Marzano's Pizza and the Sand Dune Pub in nearby Manzanita are both awesome dining choices. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place on the coast!

“Great place to stay”

We found the home to be perfect for our needs. We were visiting with 3 couples and 2 toddlers. The home has three different areas: 3 bedrooms upstairs, one downstairs, and a master suite which is positioned like a mother-in-law suite away from the others above the garage. So each couple got a different area. The house is well updated and supplied. Just 2 blocks from a nice beach and across the street from a lake. The owners were very accommodating and very quick to respond to emails. We hope to return soon!
